This Privacy Policy applies when you access our website located at: https://www.vetredeem.com/ (the “Site”) and use our mobile or desktop application under our brand REDEEM® (our “App”) (collectively our Site and App are our “Services”). This Privacy Policy outlines how BroSis VetCo, LLC (“we” “us” or “our”), either directly or through our customers or our third party service providers, may collect and/or use information from you in conjunction with your use of our Services.
By using our Services and/or creating a related user account, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and any related terms of use. Your continued use of our Services indicates that you have read, understand, and agree to the same. If you do not agree to be so bound, do not visit or log in to our Services.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of our Site and App users. We and/or our licensors own, operate, and maintain the Site and our App.
BY ACCESSING AND USING OUR SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THE INFORMATION USE AND COLLECTION TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO REVISE THIS PRIVACY POLICY AT ANY TIME. WE MAY NOT NOTIFY USERS INDIVIDUALLY IF WE CHANGE THIS PRIVACY POLICY, UNLESS THERE ARE MATERIAL CHANGES, IN WHICH CASE, WE MAY NOTIFY YOU ELECTRONICALLY. IF WE MAKE ANY MATERIAL CHANGE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY, WE WILL PROVIDE USERS A REASONABLE OPPORTUNITY TO WITHDRAW CONSENT TO ANY FURTHER MATERIALLY DIFFERENT COLLECTION, PROCESSING, OR TRANSFER OF PREVIOUSLY COLLECTED PERSONAL INFORMATION UNDER THE CHANGED POLICY. ANY CHANGES WILL BE EFFECTIVE WHEN POSTED AS REFLECTED BY THE “LAST UPDATED” DATE ABOVE. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO CHECK THIS PRIVACY POLICY FREQUENTLY FOR CHANGES.
Information We Collect
Our Services include providing support services, education, and videos on which benefits are available and the processes to apply for certain benefits, including real estate and housing, education, disability claims, employment, entrepreneurship, and other benefits through our App. To use the App, you will need an ID.me account and log-in credentials for the same. You must be a US veteran or active service member to use the App.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” includes all personal information that is specific to you which meets the definition of applicable data protection laws as “personal information,” “personal data,” or “personally identifiable information” (e.g., name, address, phone number, email address, etc.).
We primarily have access to and/or collect information that you voluntarily provide us as is necessary for providing our Services, maintaining your user account, and when you directly contact us.
Registration Information. When you sign up or register to use our Services, we ask you to provide your name and state of residence. This information allows us to match eligible benefits based on the applicable state of residence.
Contact Information and Identifiers. We collect certain information when you elect to opt-in to any marketing campaigns or our newsletter including, name and email address. You may opt-out of marketing communications or newsletters at any time by following the opt-out instruction contained in the communication, and we will promptly honor such opt-out request.
Payment Information. Although we may collect payments for use of our Services, we do not collect or store your credit card or bank information. We use Stripe as our third party payment processor, who collects your credit card, debit card, and billing information directly from you, which is subject to Stripe’s privacy policy. Please refer to Stripe’s privacy policy to learn about its privacy practices.
ID.me Information. Although we may have access to your ID.me account through the App when you log-in, including information in your ID.me account such as service history, periods of service and combat, discharge statute, etc., we do not retain or store any ID.me information, which is instead retained by Veteran Affairs. Please refer to the privacy policies of ID.me and Veteran Affairs to learn
about their privacy practices. The Personal Information we access and use through your ID.me account when you log-in to our App is used for the sole purpose of providing our Services to you and for no other purpose.Geolocation Information.
The Site and our App may collect and process information about the physical location of your mobile or desktop device using GPS or other location technologies, such as sensor data from your mobile or desktop device providing information about nearby Wi-Fi access points and cellular network towers (“Location Information”). You have the ability to control access to
Location Information through the control settings on your device.We may also collect information regarding a user's use of our Services with software application tools and data files, such as cookies, web log files, clear GIFs, pixels and/or similar devices, to identify our users and their devices, including by IP addresses, device state information, unique device identifiers, device hardware and OS information, and information
relating to how our Services are functioning (“Operational Information”). You have the ability to control access to Operational Information through the control settings on your device.Please find more information about Location Information and Operational Information in the section titled “Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms.”
Non-Personal Information; Public Information. In addition to you providing us with Personal Information, you may also provide us with, or we may otherwise acquire non-Personal Information (i.e., information which does not personally identify you) or other public information. We reserve the right to use and/or disclose such non-Personal Information and public information as we choose, including to third parties, for any reason (e.g., marketing and advertising). This includes information that has been de-identified and/or subjected to pseudonymization. We may aggregate information that you provide or is otherwise collected from or about you with information provided by other individuals or public resources in such a manner that the information is not personally identifiable to you.
Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms
Do Not Track. Currently, our systems do not recognize browser “do-not-track” requests. You may, however, disable certain tracking as discussed in this section (e.g., by disabling cookies), and opt out of certain ad networks.
Cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computers or mobile device’s hard drive through your web browser for record-keeping purposes. Some cookies allow us to make it easier for you to navigate the Site and our App, while others are used to enable a faster log-in process or to allow us to track activities on the Site and our App. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can edit your browser options to block them in the future. Certain features of the Site or our App may not function if you disable cookies.
Clear GIFs, Pixel Tags and Other Technologies. Clear GIFs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computers or mobile device’s hard drive, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly on web pages. We may use clear GIFs (a.k.a. web beacons, web bugs or pixel tags) in connection with the Site and our App to, among other things, track
activities on the Site and our App, help us manage content, and compile statistics about usage of the Site and our App. We also use clear GIFs in HTML emails to help us track email response rates, identify when our emails are viewed, and track whether our emails are forwarded.Analytics Information. We may use various technologies to learn more about how visitors use the Site and our App and to collect information about your interaction with our features and other users for analytics purposes. We may also use analytics services and technologies to monitor your activities on the Site and our App, for better understanding of how our Services are used, and ways to improve it.
Where we Collect Personal Information
We collect the categories of Personal Information identified above from the following sources: (1) directly from you; (2) through your use of our Services; and (3) from our Third Party Providers (defined below).
Use and Disclosure of Your Personal Information
We may use the information we collect from you in the following ways:
Identify and verify your right to access your user account.
Personalize and enhance your experience while interacting with our Services.
Provide our Services, including our App’s functionality, to you.
Deliver the type of content and other service offerings that we believe may be of interest to you when you opt-in, including emails and newsletters.
Monitor usage and interaction statistics on the Site, our App, and/or through responses to our
communications.Enhance, improve and develop new products, services, and overall customer support.
Perform data analytics.
Establish your user account and authenticate you during registration or login to our Services.
Allow us to respond quickly and efficiently to your questions and your requests for information.
We use Location Information to provide addresses of nearby representatives of Veteran Service Organizations to assist you with your benefits claims.
We may also use Location Information to configure and operate our App for your use and provide you with the functionality specific to your location.
We may use Operational Information to perform data analytics, analyze, and evaluate the features and functionality of our Services. We may also use Operational Information to process automatic crash reporting which collects reports of crashes, other technical issues, and information relating to how the Site and our App are functioning.
Allow us to disclose your information to the extent permitted by law.
Who We Share Personal Information With
We may share your Personal Information with our third party Service Providers as specified below (collectively, “Third Party Providers”):
Service Providers. Your Personal Information may be provided to certain third party service providers as necessary to provide our Services. Third party service providers may include software development, application and data hosting, wireless network services providers, payment processors (e.g., Stripe), and any digital marketing services (e.g., Google AdSense). We are responsible for assuring that these
Third Party Providers comply with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
In the previous twelve months, we may have shared certain categories of Personal Information with Third Party Providers for business purposes. The information shared may include the following categories of Personal Information: (1) identifiers; (2) commercial information; (3) Location Information; (4) Operational Information; and (5) other information that can be associated with you, which are all described in this Privacy
Policy.
Except for our Third Party Providers, we will not share Personal Information with an unaffiliated third party without your prior authorization, unless doing so is necessary (1) to enforce this Privacy Policy, to comply with law, regulation or other legal processes or to protect the rights, property or safety of us or others, (2) to comply with a valid order or process from a public authority, (3) to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our Services, (4) to detect or prevent criminal activity or fraud, or (5) in the event that we or substantially all
of our assets are acquired by one or more third parties as a result of an acquisition, merger, sale, reorganization, consolidation or liquidation, in which case such information may be one of the transferred assets.
We do not sell your Personal Information.
Protection of Personal Information
Although we cannot guarantee the security of Personal Information that is transmitted over the Internet or stored on the Site or our App, we have security procedures. Data security is implemented through physical, administrative, and technical safeguards we put in place and operational procedures we follow to protect your Personal Information. We protect your transactions involving your Personal Information over the Internet using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. We restrict access to your Personal Information in our database to our authorized employees, agents, certain of our authorized business partners and/or authorized Third Party Providers as appropriate or necessary to provide our Services.
We ask that you assist in maintaining the safety and security of our Services through appropriate selection and maintenance of strong passwords including both letters and numbers. We recommend that you safeguard your password. You are also responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized disclosure or misuse, including your liability for any access through your login credentials.
Please note that we do not have any control over or responsibility for information you share about yourself on or through any websites outside of our Services; including any third party websites accessed or linked through our Services, such as VA.gov and ID.me. All such sharing of information and content is done at your own risk. Any concerns about sharing information on or with a particular website not owned by us should be handled by dealing directly with that third party website.
Data Retention
We keep your Personal Information as long as needed to process your requests, to operate our business, to provide our Services, and as long as we are legally obligated to keep it. You have the right to ask us to delete your Personal Information at any time. Please note that deleting your Personal Information may affect your right to use our Services. While we will use reasonable efforts delete your Personal Information, we may berequired to retain such Personal Information as required by our systems or our legal requirements. Until we have deleted all of your Personal Information, we will continue to honor our privacy and security obligationsrelated to your Personal Information.
Children's Privacy
In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, 15 U.S.C. § 6501.06 and 16 C.F.R. §§ 312.1 – 312.12, we do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from users under the age of 13 online or through our Services. By using our Services and any user account, you represent that you are not younger than 16. If you think that we have collected Personal Information from a visitor under the age of 13, please contact us. We have no actual knowledge that we sell or share Personal Information of minors under the age of 16.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain legal rights under applicable law. For example, you may have the following rights:
Your right to Access – means that you can ask us for a copy of any Personal Information we hold about you.
Your right to Correct – if you believe that any of the Personal Information we hold about you is incorrect or out of date, you have the right to correct such Personal Information by providing us with the correct, up-to-date Personal Information.
Right to Delete – you can ask us to delete the incorrect or out-of-date Personal Information, and we will be happy to do so unless we are prevented from doing so by law or regulation. In certain circumstances you may also have the right to ask us to erase your Personal Information. Please note that even if a request is made to delete your Personal Information, we may be permitted or required to retain a copy for our business and legal obligations as permitted or required under applicable law.
Right to Portability – you have the right to request a copy of your Personal Information in a commonly used and machine readable format to be provided to you or to such other third party as you specify.
Right to Limit – you have the right to opt-out of any ancillary use of your Personal Information (e.g., for targeted advertising).
Right to List of Third Parties – you have the right to obtain a list of the specific third parties to which we have disclosed your Personal Information.
Please contact us (as specified below) to request any of the above rights. You will be required to verify your identity before we are able to fulfill your request. Upon confirmation that you are making a lawful request, we will confirm our obligations under applicable law. You can also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. To do so, you must provide us with written authorization or a power of attorney, signed by you, for the agent to act on your behalf. You will still need to verify your identity directly with us. We will acknowledge your request and respond to your request (upon verification) in accordance with the response time required by applicable law. You also have the right not to be discriminated against (as provided for in applicable law) for exercising certain of your rights referenced herein. In some jurisdictions, you may have the right to appeal our action with regard to your request for any of the above rights by contacting us at the email specified below.
In addition to the rights listed above, some jurisdictions may provide a right to consumers that are subject to profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Please note, we do not use your Personal Information for profiling purposes. Some states provide a right to opt-out of the sale of Personal Information, using Personal Information for targeted advertising, and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell Personal Information, nor do we engage in targeted advertising or profiling, which is why we do not have an opt-out link.
Where We Store and Process Personal Data
All Personal Information collected by us is stored in the United States. Personal Information is processed according to the provisions of this Privacy Policy and the requirements of applicable law where the data is located.

Notice to California Residents. You may have the right to receive information about the financial incentives that we offer to you, if any.
Metrics
California law may require us to compile the following metrics for the previous calendar year: the number of rights requests received, complied with, and denied, as well as the median number of days within which we responded to those requests. To the extent this obligation applies to us, we will comply.
California Shine the Light
Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents who have an established business relationship with us are entitled to ask us once a year for information regarding the Personal Information we have shared, if any, with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and would like to submit such a request, please submit your request in writing to the address listed in the Contact Us section and include the words "Shine the Light" in your correspondence. The request must include your name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code and an attestation that you are a California resident. We are not responsible for requests that are not labeled or sent properly, or that do not have complete information.
California Do-Not-Track Disclosure
We are committed to providing you with meaningful choices about the information collected through the Site and our App for third party purposes. However, we do not currently recognize or respond to browser-initiated Do-Not-Track signals, as the Internet industry is currently still working on Do-Not-Track standards, implementations, and solutions.
